Murdoch Children's Research Institute

Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) was established in 1986 and is now Australia’s largest child health research institute. We are dedicated to improving child health across a broad range of research and clinical areas such as allergy, infection, mental health, disease, and genetic disorders. Our co-location at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne enables our research to be efficiently translated into clinical practice, and provides the best possible care to children.

MCRI’s Centre for Food & Allergy Research combines the expertise of paediatricians, immunologists, nutritionists and researchers, to investigate children’s food allergies and food-related immune disorders. Aside from their research, the Centre for Food & Allergy Research is conducting several pioneering clinical trials, including the study of vitamin D, tree nuts, and skin immunotherapy, and has launched the AllergyPal app to assist guardians with managing a child’s food allergy plan.

If you wish to support MCRI’s allergy research, please visit our Centre for Food Allergy Research page to find out more or make a donation by clicking donate and including ‘Allergy expo’ in the donation comments box.
